DETECTIVES investigating an armed robbery in north Antrim have arrested two males.
The robbery happened in Armoy on Saturday evening, December 13.
Police say that at around 7 pm two males, armed with a suspected firearm and knife, entered a shop in the Coolkeeran Road area and demanded money.
They made off with cash and a quantity of cigarettes.
Fortunately, mo-one was injured in the incident.
A spokesperson said: “The two males, aged 22 and 16, were later arrested in the North Belfast area.
“They are currently assisting police with their enquiries.”
