POLICE have arrested two people after s woman was left badly shaken when three people armed with knives threatened her before stealing her car in Belfast city centre.

The PSNI say the woman was getting into her Peugeot 208 car at Talbot Street on Monday when she was approached by two men and a woman who hijacked the vehicle.

The car was later involved in a single vehicle incident on the Drumilly Road between Portadown and Armagh.

A 22-year-old man and a woman, 23, have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle-taking.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the incidents to contact them on the 101 non emergency number.
