WOMAN IN HER 80S LEFT CRITICALLY INJURED AFTER EAST BELFAST ACCIDENT

POLICE ACCIDENT 2POLICE in east Belfast are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision in the Castlehill Road area on the afternoon of Friday 14th November.

Investigating Officer, Constable Steven McAleese explains, “At around 4.50pm on Friday afternoon, a red Kia Sportage car was in collision with an elderly female pedestrian.

“The woman, who is in her 80s, was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

“The driver of the car has been spoken to by police.

“However, I would appeal to anyone who was in the Castlehill Road area at the time of the collision, and has information which may assist with our enquiries, to contact police at Strandtown on 101.”
