THUGS HUNTED OVER MOBILE THEFTS IN SOUTH BELFAST

Willowfield psni stationPOLICE are appealing for information following two incidents in which mobile phones were taken yesterday evening.

In the first report, shortly before 7.30pm a female was walking along Wolseley Street, South Belfast, when she had her purse and phone taken by male who was wearing a hoodie, with the hood up and tracksuit bottoms.

On the Ormeau Road, at around 8.15pm a 33 year old female wasapproached by a male at the doorway of a shop.

The male pushed the female before snatching her smartphone.

The male is described as being in his early 20’s, with short hair, approximately 5ft 5” tall, wearing a dark blue/black jacket and dark coloured bottoms.

The male ran off in the direction of Cooke Street.

Anyone who may have witnessed these incidents or have information relating to them is asked to contact police at Lisburn Road on 101.
