Detectives at Musgrave CID appeal of information after pipe bomb defused

ARMY Technical Officers have defused a pipe bomb in east Belfast.

It follows the discovery earlier of a suspicious in Templemore Avenue off the Albertbridge Road.
The PSNI say ATO examined and carried out a controlled explosion on the object which has been declared a small viable pipe bomb type device.
The device has been taken away for further forensic examination.
Detective Sergeant Dolores Black has appealed for anyone with any information about this incident to contact CID in Musgrave on 101.
Information can also be passed anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
The security alert has now ended and all roads have been re-opened.
