DETECTIVES are appealing for information following a vicious assault just over a week ago.

The 20 year old male was attacked in the Lindsay Street area of South Belfast on Sunday 21 September 2014 at around midday.

The male was assaulted by a group of males who have been described as being in their late 30s/early 40s.

One of these males is described as wearing a red top and shorts while another male was wearing a blue jacket.

The 20 year old who was beaten with bats, was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Detective Constable Mills says: “Police would appeal for anyone who was in the area and who may have witnessed this incident to contact Musgrave station on 101.

“Alternatively information can be provided anonymously through independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
