SIX HELD OVER BURGLARIES IN SOUTH BELFAST

musgrave psniTHE PSNI say officers in south Belfast arrested six people for burglary and one male for armed robbery last night.

The arrests were linked to three different incidents.

A 37 year old male and a 24 year old male were arrested for burglary in relation to an incident in Cromwell Road.

One 18 year old male and an 18 year old female, a 17 year old male and a 16 year old male were arrested in relation to a further incident in Cromwell Road.

A 29 year old male was arrested in the Elgin Street area for armed robbery.

It followed the robbery of a coffee shop on the Ormeau Road around 11 pm.

A spokesman said: “This was another busy night for officers in the University area.”
