MAN STABBED IN NORTH BELFAST STREET ROBBERY

Willowfield psni stationDETECTIVES are investigating after a man was stabbed during a street robbery in north Belfast.

Police say the 35-year-old victim was approached by two men at Brookhill Avenue off the Cliftonville Road at around 4.20 am this morning.

During the attack, he was suffered stab wounds to his arm and thigh and had his wallet stolen.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives at Antrim Road CID have appealed for any one who witnessed the incident or knows the attackers to contact them on the non-emergency 101 number.
