POLICE in Newtownabbey are appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision.

It happened in the Main Street area of Moira on Saturday 6th September.

Investigating officer Sergeant Phil Neill said: “A female pedestrian was struck by a white coloured BMW X3 car at around 2.30pm on Saturday in Main Street in Moira.

“The pedestrian was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this collision to contact officers in Newtownabbey on the non emergency number 101.”
