POLICE are investigating after a motorcyclist died following a crash in Co Down.

The collision happened on the Downpatrick Road in Ballynahinch on Monday evening.

A police spokesman said the accident took place just before 5.50 pm at the road’s junction with Mossvale Road.

Officers from the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit have appealed for anyone who was travelling on the Downpatrick Road at the time of the crash to contact them at their Steeple station on the non-emergency 101 number.
