RIDER REMAINS CRITICAL AFTER CRASH AT ULSTER GRAND PRIX

Royal Victoria HospitalA French rider remains in a critical condition in hospital following a serious incident at the Ulster Grand Prix motorcycling meeting at Dundrod last night.

Pierre Favre crashed at Thursday’s Dundrod 150 meeting – part of Ulster Grand Prix bike week.

Favre is being treated in the intensive care unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast (pictured above).

The incident led to the action being halted at the Dundrod circuit for around an hour.

It was the second crash of the evening.

Earlier, Kent rider Danny Webb crashed during practice.

He suffered serious injuries but they are not believed to be life threatening.
