POLICE ISSUE TRAFFIC ADVICE OVER BELFAST GAY PRIDE PARADE

gay prideTHE PSNI have issued traffice and travel advice for motorists heading into Belfast today.

There are several events scheduled to take place in Belfast City Centre on Saturday 02 August 2014 that will attract large numbers of people into the city centre.

Belfast Pride Festival parade will be moving through the city centre from 12 noon and a concert will be taking place in the grounds of Belfast City Hall on Saturday evening.

The parade route:

The parade will leave Queen’s Square at 12 noon, travel along High Street, Bridge Street, Waring Street, Donegall Street, Royal Avenue, Donegall Place, Donegall Square North, Donegall Square East, Donegall Square South, Howard Street, Upper Queen Street, Queen Street, Castle Street, Castle Place, move along High Street again before returning to Queen’s Square for dispersal at approx 1.30pm.

Police will seek to keep traffic moving where possible; however, motorists are being advised that delays should be expected.
