A 21-year-old man has been charged with arson endangering life following a fire at the weekend.

He is to appear at Derry Magistrates’ Court to face a first remand hearing.

It follows an incident in which the curtains of a house at Brewster Close in the William Street area were allegedly set on fire in the early hours of Saturday morning last.
