MAN ARRESTED OVER WEST BELFAST COCAINE SEIZURE

Strabane PSNI stationOFFICERS from Dunmurry Neighbourhood Policing Team, supported by the D District Crime Team, have recovered Class A drugs with an estimated street value of almost £7,000.

The suspected morphine tablets were discovered during a proactive search at a property in Cherry Walk, Dunmurry earlier today.

A 35 year old man was also arrested on suspicion of drugs ffences and an air rifle and a number of other items were seized by police.

Local Neighbourhood Inspector Peter Brannigan said: “With the support of the local community we are continuing to address local concerns about drugs by carrying out proactive searches such as this one and arresting those we believe may be involved in the drugs trade.

“information from local people is essential in enabling us to target our resources in the most effective way and make a real difference to the communities we serve.
