WOMAN LEFT BADLY SHAKEN AFTER CAR HIJACKED AT KNIFEPOINT

Police scene armed copDETECTIVES in Lisburn are appealing for information after a woman had her people carried car hijacked at knifepoint.

The incident happened on the Brians Well Road area of Dunmurry on Saturday evening, June 28.

At around 6.35 pm, it was reported that a woman was driving her black Vauxhall Zafira in the area.

When she slowed down, three males approached the car. The three males all had their faces covered with scarves.

One of the males demanded that she get out of the car and it is thought that he may have been armed with a knife.

The three males made off in the car which was later found on fire in the Summerhill Road area.

The woman was not injured in the incident but was left badly shaken.

Anyone who may have seen the car in the area or who knows anything about this incident is asked to contact CID at Lisburn Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
