FIRST Minister Peter Robinson and deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness accompanied The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh during their visit to Crumlin Road Gaol, Belfast today.

Security was tight in north Belfast for the Royal couple’s visit to landmark building.

The gaol has now been turned into a major visitor’s attraction in the city which also houses a distillery.

The Queen last visited Northern Ireland in 2012 and this is her 21st visit to the province since her Coronation.

The couple will also visit the Game of Thrones set in Titanic Quarter and also St George’s Market which also be open to the public.
