TWO ARRESTED OVER BELFAST CITY CENTRE HATE CRIME ASSAULT

PSNIPOLICE have arrested two men over a hate crime assault in Belfast City Centre.

The two males – aged 18 and 25 – were detained after a 45-year-old man sustained a number of minor injuries after he was assaulted at around 5.30 pm in Royal Avenue.

Two males were detained at the scene and are currently in Musgrave Street PSNI station assisting police with their enquiries.

It is the second racially motivated assaulted police are investigating in a number of days.

On Monday, a 36-year-old Nigerian man was assaulted in Sliabh Dubh, west Belfast as he heading to work.
