TWO males aged 49 and 17 were arrested by police following searches at two houses in the Hillman Street and Little Georges Street areas of Belfast this morning.

The 49 year old man was arrested under section 41 of the Terrorism Act following the discovery of three suspected firearms and other items.

He remains in custody at the serious crime suite in Antrimthis evening assisting police with their enquiries.

The 17 year old male was arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs with intent to supply.

He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
