Following calls from the Transport Minister Danny Kennedy for MLAs to support Bike Week, Andrew Grieve, Head of the Department for Regional Development’s Cycle Unit, joined MLAs Kieran McCarthy, Chris Lyttle and Roy Beggs for the first MLA Cycle Ride from Stormont to Belfast city centre. Bike Week runs from 14-22 June and will have an action-packed programme of events taking place across Northern. Events include Bike to School Day on June 18, Bike to Work Day on June 20, a Pedalling Picnic from Coleraine to Downhill on June 15 and an adult bike training programme in local community centres throughout Fermanagh from June 16 – 22, to name a few.
