NORTH BELFAST MAN QUIZZED OVER ASSAULTS AND GROWING CANNABIS

PSNIPOLICE are jubilant after a man arrested for assaults led inquiries to a drug house in north Belfast.

The PSNI say that following the arrest of a 29 year old male on suspicion of two counts of common assault and threats to kill in the Ballygomartin Road area of north Belfast on Wednesday 4th June, police carried out a planned search of residential premises in the Forthriver Road area.

A number of cannabis plants and equipment used in the cultivation of cannabis were seized by police.

The man was further arrested on suspicion of Cultivating Cannabis, Dishonestly Using Electricity, Possession of Class B controlled Drug and Possession of Class B controlled Drug with Intent to Supply.

The man has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
