DETECTIVES are investigating a report of a serious assault in the Arthur Lane area, Belfast shortly after midnight.

It was reported that a 26 year old female was assaulted by a male who is described as being in his early 20’s and wearing a blue hooded top with blond hair.

This male was accompanied by two other males.

Police would ask anyone who was in the Arthur Lane/Upper Arthur Street or Patterson’s Place area to contact Detectives on the new non emergency number 101.
