COUPLE FACING JAIL OVER CHEMIST SHOP ROBBERY

LA man and woman are awaiting sentencing after admitting carrying out an armed robbery on a pharmacy earlier this year.

Elaine Bradley (41), of Altcar Park and David Anthony Comiskey (41), of Chamberlain Street, both Derry, pleaded guilty to stealing prescription drugs from McKenna’s Chemist in Great James Street in the city on 10 January last.

They entered their pleas during an appearance at Derry Crown Court today.

Both also admitted to having offensive weapons, Comiskey a large black handled knife and Bradley a hammer.

Both were remanded in custody to allow the preparation of pre-sentence reports.
