FRANTIC searches are underway to find a missing man.

The search was launched on Lough Erne in Co Fermanagh around tea time but details have only just emerged.

The RNLI scrambled lifeboats to assist in the search.

THE PSNI’s water unit are also helping the RNLI comb the waters.

Police and fire and rescue officers are searching along the shoreline in an area around Portora Boat Club.

Six people were on board and five of them made safely to shore.

One man didn’t.

The overturned boat has been recovered and has been tied up at Portora Lock.

The Sligo-based Irish coastguard helicopter also helped in the search but has since returned to base.
