TWO ARRESTED IN SOUTH BELFAST OVER £75,000 DRUG BUST

Omagh magistrates courtTWO people are to face in a court in the morning over a long running probe into drug dealing.

The PSNI say officers have charged a 21 year old female and a 30 year old man with possession of Class B controlled drugs, possession of Class B controlled drugs with intent to supply, conspiracy to supply Class B controlled drugs, transferring criminal property and being concerned in supply of Class B controlled drugs.

They are expected to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Saturday morning, April 26.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charges are in connection with the seizure of in excess of £75,000 worth of herbal cannabis following a protracted investigation conducted by E District Tactical Crime Team.

The two suspects were arrested in the South Belfast area yesterday, Thursday 24 April.

Police also searched a number of properties in the South Belfast area as part of the investigation.
