FEMALE DRIVER INJURED IN ARMED HOLD UP OF CASH-IN-TRANSIT TRUCK

Ardmore PSNI stationDETECTIVES are hunting a masked man who injured a female driver during a hold up bid on a cash-in-transit van in north Belfast this morning.

According to the PSNI, the masked man armed with a knife approached the woman, who sitting inside the G4S armoured vehicle parked at the Cityside shopping complex in York Street.

The woman sustained a cut to on her right hand.

However, the robber fled the scene empty handed towards North Queen Street.

Detectives at Antrim Road CID are appealing for witnesses to contact them urgently on 101.
