A FAMILY are in mourning after their  six-year-old boy died in hospital days after he was struck by a car.

The young school boy lost his fight for life in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast on Friday evening.

The accident happened in Lisburn’s Railway Street on Wednesday afternoon after he was struck by a silver two-door Ford Ka car.

A second boy taken to hospital remains in a stable condition.

The PSNI have not released any further details at this moment.
