THE over night security alert in west Belfast is still ongoing.

Police have sealed off an area around the junction between the Shaw’s Road and Glen Road.

Parts of both roads are closed.

Army Technical Officers were drafted in for what police said was to examine a suspicious object.

Police have said a number of homes have been evacuated on the Glen Road.
