MAN SHOT IN WEST BELFAST

Woodbourne PSNI stationDETECTIVES are investigating after a man was injured in a gun attack in west Belfast.

Police say the 27-year-old was shot in the thigh around 7.35 pm on Monday night.

According to the PSNI, the shooting happened at an alleyway between Ross Road and Balkan Street.

The victim was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The police said man who carried out the shooting was seen running towards Balkan Street following the incident.
