POLICE are on the trail of a gang involved in an incident of criminal damage that happened in the early hours of Monday morning.

Three men smashed two windows at one property in the Glebeview Park area of Garvagh around 1 am.

The men then went to another property and smashing two windows there.

A woman, aged in her 40s, was hit in the face by a piece of glass in the second house.

It is not believed that she required medical treatment. The windscreen and a side window of a car were also smashed.

The three men wore balaclavas and are believed to have made off on foot in the direction of Upper Mettican Road.
