POLICE OFFICER INJURED IN BELFAST CITY CENTRE CRASH, SAY PSNI

Police accidentTHE PSNI has launched an investigation after a police officer was injured in a two-vehicle smash in Belfast city centre on Friday.

The police say the accident happened shortly after 3 pm on Friday between a PSNI car and another vehicle in May Street.

A paramedic crew and an ambulance were tasked to the scene.

The officer was treated at the scene but it is not believed his injuries were life threatening.

The PSNI has asked anyone who witnessed the crash to contact its Collision Investigation Unit on 0845 600 8000.
