SACHA CLAUS: Strabane man Sacha Dolan, who won £76,908 on Lotto in May this year, donned his Santa hat to spread a little Christmas cheer when he visited local charity Strabane District Caring Services. The big hearted winner joined around 50 senior citizens at the charity’s annual Christmas dinner where he presented hampers filled with gifts, games and food supplies, which will benefit the many local people who use the charity’s services every year. Strabane District Caring Services, which provides social, recreational and educational services for marginalised groups in Strabane and the surrounding area, received £50,000 of National Lottery funding through the Big Lottery Fund in 2013. Each week National Lottery players raise over £35 million for National Lottery projects across the UK. To date more than 420,000 grants have been awarded.
