GRAPE EXPECTATIONS FOR MATUA WINE IN NORTHERN IRELAND

Matua wine #1

FROM DOWN UNDER TO ON TOP OF THE WORLD… Gareth Bradley managing director of Woodford Bourne NI (right) announced that the Matua wine brand has seen a growth of 23% year to date in Northern Ireland as its Chief Winemaker Nikolai St George (left) was in Belfast recently to re-launch the brand in the province. Distributed through Lisburn-based wine distributors Woodford Bourne NI, Matua is New Zealand’s most awarded winery and offers a large choice of quality wine varietals across a spectrum of levels, from everyday wines (Matua Regional range) to extra special occasion wines (Single Vineyard wines). Earlier this year Matua underwent a complete overhaul of its packaging to give it a new look and the brand now features a new ‘Ta Moko’ logo which represents the ancient art of permanent body or face marking by the Maori, the indigenous people of New Zealand, and the colouring of the packing is now teal which has been inspired by New Zealand’s water and landscape.
