Army bomb disposal robot being used to examine suspicious object in west Belfast

THE PSNI has evacuated a number of number of homes in west due to a security alert.

Army technical officers are at the scene after the discovery of a suspicious object in Norfolk Parade.

Residents nearby have moved out of their homes while the object is being examined.

As a result, the Glen Road has been closed towards the Falls Road roundabout.
