THE PSNI is warning householders to be on their guard against bogus callers.
Police in Balmoral’s south Belfast said officers had reports of bogus callers trying to gain entry to properties in the area and the district.
“Over recent days we have had reports of a male with a southern accent claiming to be from the Belfast city council trying to get entry to the house or garden,” said PSNI Balmoral.
“Please do not let them in and if in doubt phone the council to check the persons credentials.”
Anyone with information about bogus callers is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000.
