ANTI-TERROR cops investigating the attempted double bomb attack on a council office by dissident republicans have arrested a man.
The 40-year-old man was detained in the Co Antrim area on Tuesday morning by officers from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch.
He was taken to the serious crime suite at Antrim police station for questioning about two attempted bomb attacks near Derry City Council offices in September last year.
The arrest comes 24 hours after police renewed their appeal for information about the attempted bombings.
Yesterday, they released CCTV footage of the suspected bomber.
