Detectives arrest a 27-year-old woman over the murder of a toddler in Lisburn two months ago

DETECTIVES have launched a murder investigation over the death a young boy two months ago.

A 27-year-old woman has been detained in connection with the death of a three-year-old boy in Lisburn, County Antrim.

According to the PSNI, the boy was found dead on Thursday, July 4 at a house in Trinity Terrace.

Following the results of a post mortem examination, detectives from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team launched a murder inquiry.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of the child’s murder and has been taken into custody for questioning.
