Adam Ingram remanded in custody over attempted murder of woman in north Belfast

A MAN faced a court on Wednesday morning charged with trying to kill a woman during a break-in at her north Belfast home.

The 26-year-old victim suffered multiple stab wounds in the attack at Glenrosa Link on Tuesday morning.

Adam Ingram, of Deacon Street, Belfast, appeared before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on charges connected to the knife attack.

The 20-year-old was accused of attempted murder and aggravated burglary with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm.

It is alleged that Ingram entered the woman’s home as a trespasser armed with a knife.

No bail application was made and Ingram was remanded in custody to appear again by video-link on Wednesday, September 25.

The victim is in a stable condition in hospital.
