Police in Larne probe hammer attack on two homes by gang of masked men

POLICE are investigating after a gang of masked men armed with hammers attacked two homes in the early hours of Friday morning.

The mob attacked the houses in Larne’s Herbert Avenue and Newington Avenue around 12.40 am.

A number of males who were in the properties at the time escaped uninjured.

However, several windows and doors of the homes were smashed.

Police are investigating a motive for the two attacks have appealed for anyone within information to contact officers in Larne on 0845 600 8000.
