Detectives investigate gun attack on family home in west Belfast

A FAMILY have escaped uninjured after several shots were fired through the front door of their home in west Belfast.

A gunman walked up to the door of the house at Tollnamona Court just off the Monagh by-pass around 2 am on Tuesday and fired a number of shots from close range.

Some of the bullets struck a fridge in the kitchen.

Three people – a 62-year-old man, 57-year-old woman and their son in his 20s – were asleep upstairs at the time but were uninjured in the attack.

Detectives are investigating the gun attack and have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
