Man to face Lisburn Magistrates Court over double stabbing at the weekend

A MAN is due in court on Monday charged in connection with a double stabbing at the weekend.

The 28-year-old is accused of three counts of criminal damage, two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent and possessing an article with blade or point in a public place.

The charges come after a 21-year-old man was stabbed in the Brookvale Walk area of the town on Saturday afternoon.

He was taken to hospital and treated for several stab wounds.

His condition has been described as “stable”.

Another 30-year-old man was also treated in hospital for treatment to one stab wound. He was later discharged.

The man is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning.
