ARMY TECHNICAL Officers are at the the scene of a security alert in Omagh.

A suspicious object has been found in the Deverney Park area of the Co Tyrone town, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A number of homes have been evacuated and the area has been sealed off and traffic is being diverted.
