Detective Chief Inspector Alan Little appeals over for information over north Belfast drug dealing

DETECTIVES investigating street drug dealing in north Belfast have seized crystal meth during planned raids.

Ecstasy tablets, suspected cannabis plants, and herbal cannabis were also recovered during searches at a number of locations on Wednesday.

PSNI Detective Chief Inspector Alan Little said: “The operation was successful in taking these drugs off the streets and is part of our ongoing efforts to tackle street-level drugs dealers.

“I would appeal to anyone who has any information in relation to illegal drugs to contact local police on 0845 600 800, or alternatively Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

The searches come as the PSNI has felt political pressure to crack down on drug dealing following the deaths of a number of people in Northern Ireland from Ecstasy tablets lazed with PMA.
