ANIMAL charity chiefs have launched a fundraiser to help ‘Stormin’ Norman’ the greyhound back to full health.

The racing greyhound was found last week in Newtownabbey with its ears hacked off by a cruel owner in a bid to conceal its true identity.

Vets spent hours gently repairing the damage to Norman’s ears.

The sadistic owners who hacked off his ears to remove identifying tattoos have been branded as “scum”.

Now Victoria Colville has painted this pose of Norman in a bid to raise funds to the defenceless animals.

Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary, which is helping Norman back to full health, is organising an auction of the painting.

The charity said on its Facebook page: “Ok here it is. Normans fundraiser which is nearly finished but lets get the auction started.

“This is oil on handmade linen canvas 10×14”. We’re generous in raising funds for needy dogs both nationally and internationally so lets see if we can do the same on Northern Irelands turf!

“All proceeds to help in poor Norman’s rehabilitation and fostering arrangements via Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary.

“‘For Norman the grass is greener now.”

Anyone who wants to bid for the painting post a bid on the Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary facebook page.
