Police investigate after five petrol bombs thrown at Short Strand home

DETECTIVES are investigating an arson bid on an east Belfast house.

A man escaped injury after five petrol bombs were thrown at the Strand Walk home in  the Short Strand area, on Sunday at 11.30pm.

Two of the missiles hit the front of the building, while three landed at the rear of the property.

No damage was caused to the house during the attack.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
