Man arrested for questioning over dissident activity in Strabane

DETECTIVES investigating dissident republican terrorist activity have arrested a man for for questioning,

The 26-year-old was detained on Sunday morning in Strabane, Co Tyrone by officers from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch.

He has been taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite where he can be held for up to 48 hours before being released, charged or detectives can apply to a court for an extension to his detention.

The arrest relates to inquiries into dissident republican activity in Co Tyrone town.
