A LEADING dissident has been arrested by detectives investigating terrorist activity in the north Armagh area.
Colin Duffy was detained on Wednesday morning in the Co Armagh town.
PSNI Serious Crime Branch officers are questioning the 45-year-old at the Serious Crime Suite in Antrim.
Duffy is a high-profile figure within hard-line republicanism who is known to be opposed to the power-sharing government in Northern Ireland.
He has been cleared of murder in three separate cases involving police and army personnel.
Last year he was arrested following the murder in November of prison officer David Black as he drove from his home in Co Cookstown along the M1 to Maghaberry jail.
Duffy was held for two days and was released from custody after a court refused to grant the PSNI an extension to his detention.
