Belfast Marathon winner Joel Kipsang of Kenya

THE winner of the Belfast Marathon is Joel Kipsang from Kenya with a time of 2 hrs 19 min and 27 secs.

The 25-year-old had been a favourite to win the May Day race.

The winner of the women’s race in the Belfast marathon is  Natalia Lehonkova.

The Ukranian came home in a time of 2 hrs 36 mins and 50 secs.
