Peter ‘Skeets’ Neill remanded in custody at Belfast Magistrates Court on £50,000 Methedrone offences

A MAN well known to police has been remanded in custody charged in connection with a £50,000 drugs seizure on the northern outskirts of Belfast.

Peter ‘Skeets’ Neill was arrested by police investigating the discovery of suspected methedrone in the Mallusk area of Newtownabbey on February 13.

‘Skeets’ Neill, of Hazelbank Road, Coleraine, appeared before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with attempted possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply.

No application for bail was made during the brief hearing.

The 45-year-old was remanded in custody to appear again by video-link on Thursday, May 9
