Police hunt robbers who snatched a mum’s handbag in south Belfast

DETECTIVES are investigating after a mum pushing her five month old baby in a pram had her handbag stolen snatched in south Belfast.

Two men approached the victim in the Cadogan Street area on Friday at 5.30pm stealing both her handbag and babybag.

Both items were found later dumped in a nearby alleyway.

However, the 35-year-old’s purse was missing.

The mum received minor injuries, however, the baby was not injured.

The two men are both described as being approximately 5ft 9″ tall and of stocky build.

One of them was wearing a white hooded top and the other was wearing a black baseball cap.

Police are appealing for information about the robbery to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
