Police charge man with seven counts of burglary

PSNI detectives investigating a spate of burglary offences have charged a man following his arrest in England.

The 21-year-old is accused of seven counts of burglary in the south Down area and Tyrone areas and one of criminal damage.

It is understood the incidents happened in the Dungannon and Newry areas between 2009 and 2011.

The 21-year-old was detained in England on Thursday and returned to NI.

He is to appear at Newry Magistrates Court on Friday morning.
